Notes
This breakfast provides oats for gentle water soluble fibre, they also contain B vitamins, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous and zinc. (Far gentler than wheat bran which is like a brillo pad for the colon
Ingredients
- 2oz Porridge Oats
- Handful of sultanas and raisins
- 1/4 pint water
- One apple or pear or a good handful of fresh berries
Instructions
- Soak porridge oats and sultanas / raisins overnight in water
- Next morning, if liked, grate the apple or pear or add berries into the oat mix.
- You could add a ¼ - ½ teaspoon of honey to sweeten the muzly but you may be surprised to find it is already very sweet due to the fruit content.
- The muzly is quite a moist consistency, however, you may wish to add a little vegan or dairy milk according to your preferences if you like your breakfast a bit more 'sloppy'!
